Helping You On Your Journey ...

A space where lived experience meets clinical insight.

Welcome to The Neurodivergent Nest

I’m Jodie Mainstone, a psychotherapist of over 20 years, a mum to three AuDHD children, and a late-diagnosed ADHD adult myself.

I founded The Neurodivergent Nest to create a space where neurodivergence is celebrated and lived experience is honoured alongside clinical theory. My goal is to support both clinicians and neurodivergent people by sharing insights, strategies, and reflections that make mental health care more affirming, inclusive, and empowering.

Through The Nest, I combine both my professional expertise with my personal experience as mum to three and a late identified Adhder.

If you’re a therapist, parent, or neurodivergent adult seeking understanding, practical strategies, or a supportive community, you’re welcome here.

Online Courses Coming Soon

At The Neurodivergent Nest we are developing a series of online courses designed to help clinicians, parents and neurodivergent individuals understand and support neurodivergence in affirming, practical ways. Each course honours lived experience alongside clinical theory, and every video is authentic, warm, mildly witty, and full of knowledge. Videos range between 20 and 45 minutes, because who can focus longer than that?

Whether you are a therapist looking to adapt your practice, a parent seeking guidance, or someone supporting others, these courses will help you approach neurodivergence with compassion, understanding, and confidence.
